Global battery reference
The right battery for any vehicle, with the evidence to prove it.
Search by vehicle, VIN or the battery you already have. Get technical specs, equivalents and calculators — for cars, semi-trucks, tractors, excavators, boats and RVs.

Vehicle not listed? Identify it with NHTSA (U.S. market)
Official U.S. vehicle data. It identifies the vehicle only; battery data comes from our catalogue.

Three ways to identify the right battery
Start from what you have in front of you: the vehicle, its VIN or the old battery.
Decode the VIN
Enter the 17-character VIN to identify make, model, year and engine automatically.

Match the battery you have
Search by part number, BCI group, EN code or dimensions and find equivalents.

Calculate before you buy
Size banks, runtimes, charging and cranking requirements with formulas you can check.
OpenData you can check, not guesses
Battery compatibility errors are expensive: wrong size, wrong terminals or a downgrade from AGM to flooded. That is why every record carries its source and one of these verification levels.
How we source data- Verified Confirmed against OEM documentation or a licensed catalogue and reviewed.
- Documented From a licensed or published source, not individually re-checked.
- Orientative Derived from equivalent specs. Check size, terminals and ratings before buying.
- Demo Fictitious sample data for demonstration. Never use it for a purchase.

TechnologyAGM vs EFB Batteries: Differences, Start-Stop and Which One You Need
How AGM and EFB batteries are built, why start-stop vehicles need them, and the rule for replacing one with the other without damaging the electrical system.
RatingsWhat Is CCA (Cold Cranking Amps)? SAE, EN and DIN Ratings Explained
What cold cranking amps measure, how SAE, EN and DIN test methods differ, why CCA cannot be converted to Ah, and how much CCA your vehicle really needs.
Buying guideHow to Choose a Truck Battery: Heavy-Duty and Semi-Truck Guide
A step-by-step method to choose batteries for medium-duty trucks, semi-trucks and buses: system voltage, group size, bank CCA, reserve capacity, terminals and technology.
What to check before you buy a battery
Physical size and terminals
The case must fit the tray and hold-down, and terminal type and polarity must match the cables. BCI group (Americas), EN/DIN codes (Europe) and JIS codes (Asia) describe these.
Technology
Start-stop vehicles need EFB or AGM. Never replace AGM with a conventional flooded battery. Lithium is used mainly for auxiliary and house banks.
Cranking amps (CCA)
Meet or exceed the manufacturer's minimum CCA, and only compare values measured under the same standard (SAE, EN, DIN or JIS).
Capacity and reserve
Ah and reserve capacity matter for vehicles with heavy accessory loads, sleeper cabs, boats and RVs. CCA cannot be converted into Ah.
